3rd Avenue Musician Makers
DONORS
3rd Ave. Arts was originally formed in 2008 to fill the growing need in our community for a venue where regional professional musicians could perform and serious music students could experience high-quality concerts as well as enhance their study of the art of music. The Durango Chamber Music Academy was the first program developed to successfully provide young artists with exceptional pedagogical and performance opportunities. Since then, 3rd Ave. Arts has provided the funding, support and vision for such programs as Piano Academy at Fort Lewis College, Young Musicians Camp and Junior Piano Academy, in addition to the regular concerts throughout the year. The Jean Hagler Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2017 to specifically supply funding for the education of young musicians.
In 2022, 3rd Avenue Musician Makers was established and in its first semester of operation, donated a total of $7,215 to 26 students from the Durango and Four Corners region, enabling students who might not otherwise have the financial means to pursue the study of music and achieve a level of excellence on their desired instrument.
You can make a secure donation to the Jean Hagler Memorial Scholarship program HERE, mail a check to 3rd Ave. Arts, P. O. Box 1383, Durango, CO 81302, or email us to discuss other options, including legacy gifts.
